Briefing about YG Entertainment and their members.

Just for those kpop beginners, YG Entertainment is a korean entertainment company that takes in talented and hip-hop,R&B flavored artists ( well-known as not-face-looking-company).Members in the company are like a family.That's why they're known together as YG Family.

Artists that are under YG and currently active….

We have BIG BANG...I’m sure you know them well;)

An idol group formed by 5 members:

G-Dragon with a slight slang foreign flair and TOP with a deep charismatic voice as the main rappers.Taeyang’s warm and touching voice with Daesung’s traditional korean strong vocal and Seungri’s sweet but powerful voice as the vocalist in the group.

2NE1- debuted with a fierce,daring image and talented vocal

With Charisma Leader CL,Fresh Vocal Sandara Park,Goddess-like vocal Park Bom and Sexy maknae Minzy~! I must point out CL and Bommie are my favorite unnie.But lately I find maknae very charismatic too~!;)

Gummy- A solo female artist that owns a r&b based soft but remarkable voice.

Gummy unnie’s not-to-miss song must be “I’m sorry ft. TOP”.Is one of the best eventhough is old. And the MV itself features fresh Dara before she debuted as a member of 2NE1 too~!If you like a more uplifting song,”As a man” is the choice.The MV features Kim Hyun Joong and is about how a man feels when he felt the wedding pressure from his girlfriend.

SE7EN - This hyung has a unique voice that brings out his unusual charisma.

To be honest [and fair]..Se7en was very famous in asia.I think it was even before Rain debuted.He took a good care of BIGBANG when they were just trainees.He leads and gave them advises.He mainly sings in hiphop but recently he changed his field.However his R&B tracks are always promising.And after a hiatus,Se7en is ready to release an korean album soon!Please anticipate it!

And a new family member,talented composer and lyricist,Tablo from Epik High.

Tablo~! Even before he joined YG Family..when he was still in Epik High,I love his music.He’s really talented [like the others in YG] but his music style is more melancholy,touching and realistic.Tablo's    lyrics will remind you a lot of yourself.Something that he has touches the soul of listener’s.

And a few artist that are no more active but I would really wanna introduce them because they’re part of the family.=) And Of course,I love them as well as the active ones.

The very first group of hiphop and funk based duo from YG Entertainment.

[Blondie Sean and Shady Jinu.]

Both are now working behind-the-scene in the company.We can often get a sight of them in BIGBANG TV,2NE1 TV etc.And If you’re interested in their music, I must say “PHONE NUMBER” is the all time favorite.=)) I love it since GD&TOP covered the song on YG Family Concert 2010..

Secondly,1TYM.

I dunno much about 1TYM but I listened to their songs and I find it nice.

I was really shock to find the group went into a hiatus and without further notice>.< pity!! But then, We have come to a  point..Where Teddy, YG’s main and most treasured composer is the leader of 1TYM.Okay..The songs are DAEBAK(means GREAT and it will bring good sales), that make SENSE.But the hiatus….too busy composing for other members?Maybe Teddy finds it more suitable for him to work behind the scene..=O Pity but is okay =)
